The state has a variety of outdoor activities ranging from skiing and snowboarding in the winter months to hiking and camping in the summer months. There are also plenty of opportunities for fishing, boating, kayaking and more which attract thousands of visitors each year from all around the country! In addition to outdoor activities, Idaho offers plenty of cultural attractions including museums, galleries, theaters and historic sites that showcase its unique history and culture. The state also hosts several popular festivals throughout the year such as Trailing of the Sheep Festival in Sun Valley which celebrates Idaho’s sheepherding heritage with music, dance, artistry and more! Other festivals include Sandpoint’s Winter Carnival which includes snow sculpture competitions, parades, food vendors and more! Idaho is also home to some of the most stunning national parks in the country such as Yellowstone National Park which features breathtaking geysers, hot springs and wildlife viewing opportunities as well as Grand Teton National Park which offers picturesque views of jagged mountain peaks. In addition to national parks there are plenty of other natural attractions such as Hell’s Canyon National Recreation Area where visitors can explore rugged canyon walls or Priest Lake State Park where they can go swimming or boating on pristine waters surrounded by lush forests! According to Thembaprograms, Idaho is home to a wide variety of plants and trees, many of which are native to the state. The flora of Idaho includes over 3,500 species of vascular plants, including approximately 2,400 species of flowering plants. Trees native to Idaho include several species of pine and fir as well as larch and juniper. Other native trees include cottonwood and aspen. Shrubs such as sagebrush and rabbitbrush can be found throughout the state in Idaho’s woodlands. Wildflowers like the yellow-orange sego lily and the white mule’s ears can be found throughout the state in springtime. Many species of grasses also thrive in Idaho’s temperate climate. The state is home to several national parks – Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Craters of the Moon National Monument – that provide opportunities for visitors to observe Idaho’s diverse flora in its natural environment.
