The Cook Islands

The Cook Islands are an independent nation with home rule under New Zealand, and the citizens therefore have New Zealand citizenship. The islands are divided into a southern and a northern archipelago, the majority of which live on the southern islands, where the main island of Rarotonga is also located.

Nauru

In 1968, Nauru became an independent state and a member of the Commonwealth. Nauru has no capital, but the government buildings are located in the Yaren district.
The island state is the third smallest state in the world and is dependent on financial assistance from Australia.
