Silent wire focuses on continuity and takes over the building when the LS 16 with cross-connected wires, winding around a polyethylene tube, from the LS 12 (10/09). However, it has made changes in critical locations. So, the number of wires – as the name suggests – has grown to 16, which gives a cross section of 4 mm2 16 LS.

Also, the copper conductor should be once again pure with him. Moreover, they are polished extra production, to create a particularly smooth surface, which should lead to a better high-frequency according to silent wire. The tissue surrounding the head is still a rayon braid, but the case of the LS 16 consists of polyurethane (PU) and not PVC at the smaller brother.

That these efforts have paid off, that showed LS 16 that clearly distanced less expensive LS 12 with more robust figure, more clearly drawn by bass and as thanwie, heights where the listening comparisons. So, it played at the same level as the Siltech MXT Paris (450 euros, 10/09), that, however, had another sound effect trend. As the MXT Paris appeared more detailed and more open than the LS 16, painted it with warmer tones.

When the spatial representation that cared for LS 16 then rather the width, while the MXT Paris in depth West and offered a more focused location. So there was a stalemate. The LS 16 is highly recommended for chains, which sound rather superficially and directly.
