Is It Good to Invest in Youthful Content?

Hello, hello dear readers and passionate about jewelry! I was doing a research to write today’s article for you and the theme was the rings . I researched for new designs, brands, models, anyway, and I did not find much of a subject to talk about. Suddenly a snap: why not take a look to see if you find jewelry – rings, more specifically speaking – inspired by famous movies?

In fact, I researched Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Lord of the Rings, Divergent, Twilight, in short, a range of relatively new and exciting sagas that young people usually become fans.

I found many jewelry with many different designs but what I discovered was this: manufacturers are not big industries, so those products are not really jewelry. At most semi jewels, maybe costume jewelry.

And I was thinking, come on, would not it be a good idea to invest in this kind of content to attract the younger audience to the wonderful world of jewelry? Check below what I found and how the designs of each theme were:

Harry Potter

I was absolutely delighted. In the rings part, I found designs with the protagonist’s glasses and scar, bracelets and necklaces with the symbol of the relics of death and the golden apple. Two necklaces in particular caught my attention: the first one had a pendant that represented the lembrol, device that only appears in the first film, and that becomes a product for an extremely select public, that really knows everything about the series of films. The second had the turn-time pendant, an object that allowed the characters Harry and Hermione to travel to the past in the fourth movie.

Hunger Games

In this series the only effective representation that could fit in a jewel is actually the very play of the protagonist Katniss Everdeen, the brooch with the thrush bird. They are brooches, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, in short, a series of accessories with that same symbol, so significant for fans of the saga.

Since the films have a more rustic look, most of the jewels also adhere to the style: they are made of darker material, some even resembling old gold, and in the case of bracelets, they bring with them the leather straps.

The vampire saga that shines out in the sun brings no symbol or reference, other than the vampire and werewolf legends themselves.Despite this, the jewelery from the much-feared Volturi family and Bella Swam’s engagement ring have been imitated for fans to feel part of history.

Other Stories

Other films can also serve as inspiration as Divergent, Perçy Jackson – this mainly because of all the Greek mythology involved that sustains the story – Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones – which is not properly a movie, but has made the head Of series enthusiasts.

Disney princesses

There is a large and unexplored niche for the serious industries that produce jewelry to invest their time. This is the case of Gemvara, which launched a few years ago an entire collection of engagement rings inspired by the Disney princesses.

Do you want a bigger dream than being asked to marry in the style of your favorite love story since your childhood? It’s a dream come true. Each ring had the characteristics and colors of a different princess, and contained within the rim the phrase-symbol of the story.

The ring inspired by Princess Jasmine carries the phrase “A whole new world”, also refrain of the song in which she and Alladin do a duet by flying the world on a magic carpet. Mulan’s ring, however, bears the inscription “The Most Beautiful of All” by her father before heading to the war in his place.

The jewelry brand even brought princesses like Cinderella, Aurora, Rapunzel, Pocahontas and Ariel. I leave here my honest opinion: other brands can not only follow this example and invest in young content.
