Tour de France Final Stage Champs Elysées

Road: 137.5 kilometers from Evry to the Champs-Elysées in Paris. Three week contestants are over and now awaits the big award ceremony and the final dividend of the jerseys. But first a last spurt settlement. And before its women’s race La Course with three Swedes to start.v

Since 1975, the Tour de France finished at Paris’s main parade Street; The Champs Elysées.
The stage usually begins with relaxed driving and celebration and then turn into bloody seriously when it reaches the closing lap in the capital. 

Ten laps in five and a half kilometres to run, along with the Tuiliererna, past the statue of Joan of Arc and along Rue Rivoli towards the Place de la Concorde before driving uphill and down the Champs Elysees. The fight about the different shirts are decided, but there is a prestigious stage victory to take home on the Cobbles on the Place de la Concorde.

Before its makes the world’s elite in the Lady’s bike up on an equally prestigious and far more historic victory in the new contest La Course. The prize pool is as much money as in the men’s stage. 120 cyclists coming to the home, including several big names like Marianne Vos, Lizzie Armitstead, Kirsten Wilde, Giorgia Bronzini, Emma Pooley and our own Emma Johansson. In addition, Sara Mustonen and Emilia Fahlin with and run for their respective teams.

The evidence suggests that it will be about a klungspurt in the women’s race, in which Kirsten Wild from Team Giant-Shimano is a hot name. Former world champion Giorgia Bronzini, Wiggle the Honda, and Marianne Vos, Rabo Lives, are also aspirants to the podium, as well as Emma Johansson of Orica AIS. Expect an action-packed race with many attacks, for multiple learning take the chance to finally get to be seen by the world’s cycling supporters who wear the fashion jerseys.
